The Definition of Original Art

Saturday, October 29th, 2011

According to the dictionary, original art means that it is a fresh idea that has not been derived from some other source. It is first in line of its kind and has not been copied or taken off from something else. There are so many prints out there of the maestros of old and the originals are kept under lock and key in a vault to protect against the deterioration that comes with time and dust and handling. Not only are there original prints belonging to the old artists, but there are original prints in modern times as well. Maybe someday when the older originals have faded, we will be looking at the prints of the original art pieces that are available currently. Visit www.originalart.net to view some of the original art works that are currently available from the leading UK artists and to find out more about them. We might have the next Leonardo or Vincent hiding in these pages.

Tuesday, October 19th, 2010

All of the gamers on the web that have gotten into this whole sweeping kind of movement even of free games, are now kind of getting into this whole cult sort of novelty of a genre. We’re talking about Free Bike Games, and here we’re really getting into the point that you can really make a god point, but if you don’t make a solid point, then you may not make sense. And that really is going to be the cut of that kind of jib, in the end. And that’s what we all try to aim for in the end. But again, it’s the technology; it’s the technology, the programmers and such, that really make all of this very, very possible. It’s something in the order of these other points, but it’s also something that we do on the sly. There are other things to consider, too, though. And that’s something to consider.

Matisse and Les Fauves

Monday, September 13th, 2010

Matisse’s technique was largely a reaction to the smooth and polished painting techniques of nineteenth century French Painting. Mattisse used strong contrasting colour, flat colour and expressive brush marks that was to earn him, and like minded artists, the name ‘Les Fauves’, meaning the wild beasts.

The Fauve technique drew a lot from the Post-Impressionists, such as the vibrant brushstrokes of van Gogh and the use of saturated colour by Gauguin. Matisse studied the works of both the Impressionists and Post-Impressionists, from which, he developed the technique. The Fauve technique used the expressive potential of the materials the artist had to hand, such as the texture of the canvas, the quantity of paint used, the descriptive use of line and varying brush marks.

Matisse has influenced many portrait artists with this technique and he himself produced significant portraits in this manner. One such portrait is of Andre Derain, a fellow artist and exponent of the Fauve technique.

Where To Find Downloadable Crochet Patterns?

Monday, August 16th, 2010

Tell me where to find the best Downloadable Crochet Patterns in the web sphere? There are definitely so many web sites that showcase patterns that can be downloaded for free. Sometimes they ask me to subscribe first in their site before I could get a free patterns which will be delivered in my email. Some patterns that I found are from forums which are shared by many crochet lovers like me. Im so glad that there are infinite resources that can be found online about crochet patterns.
What I want in a downloadable crochet pattern is a very easy to understand step by step instructions. I would prefer full words not abbreviations. If ever they are abbreviated, they should provide the definition if terms. They should also give me photos to show me the details of the stitches. Best of all, the pattern should give me tips and stitching techniques. That pattern, I would surely enjoy to read.

History Of M. I. Hummels Figurines

Saturday, August 14th, 2010

Many must have wondered how the M.I. Hummel Figurines have come to being. Most must have thought that they were created only out of drawings of the sculptor. They do not know the sentimental history of the M. I. hummels figurines.

M. I. Hummel is short for Maria Innocentia Hummel, a German Franciscan nun who creates drawings on art cards of lovable innocent children in rustic settings. Sister Hummel has improved her craft during her studies at the Munich Academy.

On the other hand Franz Goebel is a porcelain manufacturer in Oeslauby town in Germany way back in 1876. Germany is in political upheaval and business is affected. He would like to create a sensational product that would alleviate the political heaviness of the country. Then he saw the works of art of Sister Hummel. He asked that he be granted exclusive rights to produce the figurines. So the partnership between Sister Hummel and Franz Goebel was forged and it resulted to the creation of the M. I. Hummel figurines with the special clay created by the Goebel Factory.

Chinese Lanterns – What They Really Are

Friday, August 13th, 2010

It’s all about light; it’s as fundamental to modern living as it gets; more fundamental than the internet. Even before electricity, systems of lights were critical to the enduring and success of societies (it would later be proven). And so it’s no wonder that so much of home furnishing focuses on lighting. In fact, a good deal of business in the home furnishings sector is all about lights and lighting fixtures. And the most practical means of lighting up an area is in fact these Chinese lanterns. Now, this is a bit of a misnomer. First off, they’re not necessarily Chinese, per se. They’re not necessarily even lanterns. A lot of these things hang from the top, and more like chandeliers than lanterns. A lot of them span the airspace between the floor and ceiling, making them more like tall area lamps than lanterns. And hardly any of them are actually designed by the Chinese.
