Both of my older brothers had gotten to pick anywhere they wanted to go for their graduation. Both of my brothers chose islands in Thailand to go to and I thought I would follow in the family trend. We have been thinking about New York holidays for a while now so I was very excited when I stumbled across “The National Museum of Hip Hop” online, which is apparently based in Manhattan.
Unfortunately not.
For five years, founder “Mr Wilson” has been trying to raise 50 million dollars to establish the museum and prove that people in the hip hop community CAN work together.
I think it’s preposterous that this museum doesn’t already exist in the Bronx borough; the original birth place of the genre. I am disappointed that I will not be able to surprise my friend with a visit to the museum in the foreseeable future.
